Impressions offer several different methods of personalisation for workwear. The basics of each are outlined below:
Embroidery is the most common form of personalisation for workwear. Embroidery offers a durable professional finish and is suitable for text and logos. It is great on polos, hoodies, sweatshirts and fleeces, although it is not ideal for lighter weight fabrics. We also offer a cap embroidering facility. It is not ideal for small text or very detailed logos as some of the finer detail can be lost.
This is the traditional method for T shirt printing and is ideal for a large print run. Each colour in your design will require a separate screen so bear that in mind when choosing this option.
Cut Vinyl offers a cheaper alternative for single colour logos or text on shorter runs. It is ideal for fabrics that do not have a textured finish and can offer a much larger print area.
Sublimation printing is a full colour print process for printing directly on to white polyester or white polyester coated garments. Sublimation has become increasingly popular over recent years as an alternative to screen printing on shorter runs. It allows the production of full colour images which are durable and lightweight. This method is only suitable for print onto white sublimation t shirts and white sublimation polo shirts.
Printed transfers are printed on a special substrate that is then cut out to shape and heat pressed onto the garment. Printed transfers provide a hardwearing alternative where a full colour image is required. It is ideal for small logos no larger than front left breast, where fine detail is required.
